We are looking for a talented DS&C Spark Ignition- Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Corporate/CBS Segment team in Columbus, IN.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Development of control algorithms and diagnostics for future spark ignition products meeting increasingly demanding performance and emissions requirements

* Define requirements for system architectures and subsystems to enable adequate controllability and diagnosability including hardware components, sensors and actuators, and control modules

* Perform simulation studies and complete analysis using plant models such as GT-Power, AVL Boost, etc.

* Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders for multiple new product development programs for global products

* Physics-based and black box modeling for control design, diagnostics, real-time estimation, and optimization

* Implementation of new algorithms using in Cummins software environments

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

* College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required.

* 3-5+ years of experience (or experimental based thesis project in analyzing, designing and implementing control systems) in a relevant discipline area that may also include: strong systems-level understanding of typical subsystems for spark ignited engines (air handling, aftertreatment, combustion)

* Must have familiarity with MATLAB and Simulink

* Must have knowledge with combustion engines

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
