Full-Time Director of IT

Job Description

Billie is hiring for a Director of Information Technology. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you’ll own the strategy and roadmap of IT and security.  In this role you’ll ensure that our systems are safe and secure while rolling out new initiatives and software to keep Billie at the forefront of modern technology. You’ll find opportunities to tighten the screws and keep our team on their toes. The role:

  • Design and drive a prioritized roadmap for IT and security
  • Research, create and facilitate trainings for internal team members on security best practices
  • Manage identity access controls in our systems
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding technology processes for all employees
  • Lead offensive security exercises such as tabletop exercises and phishing tests 
  • Perform vulnerability research and organize penetration testing
  • Manage hardware procurement and asset management
  • Provide hardware, software and peripheral support to all Billie team members
  • Manage a Helpdesk system and handle support requests

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years of hands-on IT experience with an added focus on security (nothing gets past you!)
  • Experience with Google G Suite, SSO, MDM, LAN/WAN, Firewalls, and VPNs (G Suite certification)
  • Experience with identity access management
  • Experience with OSX and Windows ecosystems, endpoint management
  • Experience with cloud computing services (platform certification a plus)
  • Prior experience in building and executing best in class IT practices, policies, and processes — you’ve been there and done that
  • The mindset of a hacker, you’re always on the lookout to find and close vulnerabilities
  • A keen sense of detail — you measure twice, cut once
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive and collaborative approach; you love working with people and people love working with you
  • You lead by example and demonstrate Billie’s core values
