Epic is seeking a strategic, analytical, and compassionate leader to establish our People Operations Team (PeopleOps). PeopleOps will own the full employee experience, across Human Resources and Facilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, the consumer internet space, and products that serve kids and families. The position is based in Redwood City, CA and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

What you will be doing

  • Culture & Engagement:  Partner with our executive team to reinforce company culture, foster an inclusive environment, and drive employee engagement
  • Learning & Development:  Develop our talent – both hard and soft skills – via performance feedback, career pathing, and training
  • Compensation & Benefits:  Manage a compelling employee value proposition, including competitive compensation and benefits
  • Compliance:  Monitor evolving employee regulations and develop policies and procedures to keep us in compliance
  • Facilities:  Manage our offices in Redwood City, CA and Philadelphia, PA

What you should have

  • Track record of results in high-performance environments
  • Service orientation – combination of scrappiness and humility
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience, including leading diverse and inclusive teams – experience in a high-growth technology startup a plus
  • Compassion and judgment – experience dealing with sensitive personnel issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to craft a compelling storyline, align key stakeholders, and drive to a decision
  • Undergraduate degree – graduate study considered as work experience
