Job Description

Magnet Media is seeking a Director of HR and Recruitment to oversee all of Magnet Media’s hiring efforts and internal employee relations. This position reports to the SVP of Accounts & Operations, and will lead the process of hiring full-time employees as well as building a network of preferred freelancers. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, dynamic, organized, self-starter with experience in project and account management, to work in a fast paced environment on various projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to prioritize hiring needs and build a seamless interview process that helps us bring the best candidates to our teams
  • Help initiate creative and scalable changes to our existing recruiting strategy
  • Track and analyze metrics and report on hiring progress to business leadership on a regular cadence
  • Concentrate on creating strategic plans for sourcing candidates with diverse backgrounds for each of your roles
  • Coordinating, improving upon and managing the professional development efforts within our team (internship program, apprenticeship program, career development and career ladders)
  • Work closely with senior leadership to improve all aspects of the employee experience (onboarding, benefit preferences, employee surveys)

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of recruitment experience in an extremely fast-paced environment finding and hiring high quality talent.
  • Experience recruiting in or for Production/Digital agencies.
  • You have handled all phases of recruitment—sourcing, assessment, relationship building, networking, negotiation, etc.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented; able to multitask and prioritize a large volume of responsibilities and tasks in a fast paced, creative environment.
  • Ability to operate independently AND as part of a team.
  • Commitment to DEI and presenting underrepresented talent to hiring managers.
  • Excellent search and sourcing skills.
  • Genuine interest in people – their experiences, stories, and motivations.
  • World class listening skills, and high EQ.
  • High-integrity, natural salesmanship skills.
  • A passion for team-building, and for supporting career growth.
  • Goal-oriented, works well under pressure. A gifted multi-tasker.
  • Experience with Greenhouse software is a plus.
