Full-Time Digital Coordinator, Public Lands

Job Description

Founded in 1936, the National Wildlife Federation is America’s largest and most trusted grassroots conservation organization with 51 state and territorial affiliates and some six million members and supporters nationwide. The Federation’s programs are aimed at conserving wildlife, restoring important habitats and waterways, defending clean air and water, protecting public lands, expanding outdoor opportunities for all, and connecting children with nature.   To meet our mission we are seeking a Digital Coordinator for Public Lands to join our staff, working out of our Rocky Mountain Regional Center in Denver.

In this role you will help provide the public lands program voice online.  You will curate and maintain our online platforms, engage advocates through emails and action alerts, and help build a video presence online.

You will report to the Digital Campaigns Manager for Public Lands and work as part of the cross-disciplinary public lands team.

Your role will include:

Social Media

Curate and maintain a daily presence for Our Public Lands and NWF Sportsmen & Conservation on multiple platforms
Assist our affiliates when asked to amplify their messages
Live tweet congressional and executive actions online
Track page and individual post performance across social media platforms
Content creation and Curation

Work with Digital Campaign Manager to coordinate and maintain a monthly content calendar
Write email & action alerts for public lands issues
Assist in production of action alerts, emails, and click-to-call campaigns
Assist in creation and publication of blogs for public lands issues
Assist in updating websites and webpages
Shoot and edit video for short form online content
Project Management

Serve as a point of contact in managing public lands action alerts and emails using Jira software program
Represent public lands team on weekly calendar calls for email campaigns.
Track communications and digital efforts for grant reporting.
Lead administrative tasks for processing expenses for paid digital on social media
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
Experience in grassroots organizing/campaign outreach/advocacy
Experience writing web-based content and advocacy outreach materials
Excellent writing and editing skills
Demonstrated knowledge of working on multiple social media platforms
Creative self-starter who is able to find innovative uses of technology and engagement strategies
Capable of engaging and bolstering marginalized voices in your work
Good at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines
Highly detail orientated
Able to work as a part of a cross department team and with a diverse range of people
Basic design and image formatting skills
Basic data management and analytics
