Job Description:

The Digital Content Producer will create engaging multimedia content for the Queens Museum’s website and social media channels with an emphasis on informational graphics and documentary-style field content, by highlighting the Queens Museum’s exhibitions, programs and impact through videos, images, and audio. 

The Digital Content Producer will work collaboratively across the institution to conceive multilingual assets that are consistent with the museum’s identity, mission, and values. As a key member of the team working across the museum, the role requires a positive, strategic, and problem-solving attitude. The ability to develop and deliver high-quality visual content is all critical to this role.

Essential Functions:

  • Create compelling digital assets for the museum’s website and social media channels
  • Post-production and editing of all photography and videography
  • Upload creative content onto the museum’s website and online drives
  • Support the overall strategic focus of the museum’s digital platforms
  • Collaborate with Queens Museum team members and artists and educators to develop and deliver content and ensure a consistent, integrated visual identity
  • Improve and develop existing digital initiatives
  • Create QM internal signage including banners, communications 
  • Document and record events as needed

Qualifications:

  • Advanced digital design skills including fonts, color palettes, composition, and sizing.
  • Familiarity with live stream products and software is a plus
  • Prior production experience including photography, audio and video 
  • Proven experience of delivering dynamic digital content 

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience working with varied forms of digital content across web and social media platforms
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite user (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, AfterEffects, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Understanding of digital audience needs and expectations
  • Interest in digital metrics and audience-growth best practices
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to oversee projects from conception to delivery
  • Excellent creative skills and a great eye for detail
