Technical: 

We have started building new products with React and React Native, to work in tandem with our legacy, web-based system (built in .NET/C#/JS), and with a new microservices back-end (GoLang).

It’s an exciting time to be a part of CampMinder’s Engineering team, as we embark on the challenge of maintaining our existing system while implementing new technologies, functionality, and products.

The Role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will own and serve as the “go-to” person for our new infrastructure platform. You will work with multiple teams, across various technology stacks and products, to develop tools and infrastructure that improve our software development and delivery process.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of technology that increases productivity, quality, and reliability of our systems. You will accomplish this by automating infrastructure, automating workflows, enhancing existing pipelines, and continuously measuring application performance.

This role encompasses parts of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), system monitoring and observability, and DevOps in an effort to help optimize  our engineering delivery process.

A successful candidate will have: 

  • 5+ years in an SRE/DevOps role, building and maintaining production environments

Strong experience with: 

  • Container deployment and orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Service meshes, service deployments, monitoring and observability
  • Administering microservices, identifying performance bottlenecks, anomalous system behavior, and resolving issues root causes
  • Distributed cloud service development, infrastructure, traffic management and architecture in a hosted cloud environment
  • Developing, configuring and supporting monitoring systems, alerting and analytics
  • Standard methodologies related to security, performance, and disaster recovery
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • K8S Ingress, Load Balancing, Gateway
  • Scrum and Agile development methodologies

Preferred Tools/Technologies: 

  • GitLabCI, Azure DevOps, and scripting languages
  • Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
  • NGINX, Azure Application Gateway
  • LinkerD Service Mesh
  • RabbitMQ
  • SQL Server, SQL Server CDC usage
  • “EFK” – Elasticsearch, FluentD, Kibana logging stack
  • K8S observability stack: Open Census, Prometheus, Jaeger, Grafana
  • Unix/Linux and Windows based environments
  • Azure Cloud

Role Location : Due to COVID-19, all CampMinder employees are working from home for the immediate future. We ask that you have a reliable, high-speed internet connection and be available during standard business hours. In the event we reopen the office in some capacity, you will need to live within reasonable commuting distance from the office in Boulder, Colorado and be willing to work on-site at least 2-3 days per week.  For the right candidate, we are willing to consider a fully-remote work location.

Compensation:

Our target hiring range is $105,000 – $145,000.  Actual compensation and job title will be commensurate with experience, skills and education.
