Position Summary

The Development Manager is a key member of USA Triathlon’s revenue team reporting directly to the Executive Director of the USA Triathlon Foundation. This position is responsible for maximizing the revenue potential for USA Triathlon Foundation through programs, events, annual fund, and major gift fundraising.

 

This role will be responsible for driving the growth of our annual fund and cultivating and soliciting major gifts in Colorado. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in development with the desire to grow donor count and fundraising numbers.

 

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maximize revenue-generating programs throughout the year and be responsible for selling annual events: Hall of Fame Gala tables/tickets, Fantasy Camp spots, and VIP areas at Multisport Festival, Legacy and Age Group Nationals
  • Construct and execute a robust plan for the Tri-Club Challenge Initiative
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects in Colorado
  • Enhance annual giving programs to increase overall donor count, unrestricted donations, and donor engagement
  • Cultivate annual fund donors and move them to major gift prospects
  • Qualify major gift prospects on behalf of other major gift officers
  • Work with Foundation Development and Program Coordinator on daily needs of the Foundation, including benefit fulfillment, stewardship, event support and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with alle departments to identify key partnership opportunities that benefit their department and the organization overall

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of development experience
  • Experience with a national governing body for sport, collegiate athletics department, professional sports team, league, agency or major property is preferred but not a requirement
  • Experience in the endurance space will be helpful in the success of this position but not a requirement

Additional Job Information:

 

Location: Colorado Springs, CO in a hybrid work environment

 

Pay range: $55,000 – $70,000

 

This is a full time, exempt position
