Full-Time Development Coordinator

Job Description

You’re a detail-oriented person with strong administrative skills who enjoys behind-the-scenes donor and foundation management. You enjoy working within and supporting a team and have experience prospecting funding opportunities and maintaining data in Salesforce or similar platforms. This role will ideally be located in Denver, CO (other locations will be considered depending on the candidate). This position will focus on prospecting, researching, and prioritizing grant opportunities as well as on grants-related administrative duties. This role will also perform Salesforce data entry and management, utilization of various fundraising platforms, and development-related administrative duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enter donations in Salesforce and ensure data integrity
  • Provide administrative and Salesforce support for leadership staff, creating and managing donor accounts and opportunities in Salesforce
  • Send donor acknowledgements as needed and respond to email requests
  • Work with Operations Team to optimize Salesforce dashboards, reports, processes, integrations, and troubleshooting errors
  • Manage Funraise platform, including Salesforce integration
  • Prospect, research, and evaluate new grant opportunities for specific locations, states, and regions to both sustain and expand Phoenix programs, building a national, regional, and local pipeline
  • Manage grant reports calendar and collaborate with program staff to compile necessary information
  • Draft letters of intent, reports, and applications as needed and provide editing support
  • Work across teams, scheduling and attending meetings as needed, to ensure timely grant application submission
  • Perform data entry for all components of grant lifecycle
  • Complete other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Significant experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to relate to people from all walks of life
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and integrity

 

PREFERENCES

  • Lived experience as a peer in recovery
  • Background in development or interest in pursuing a career in development
  • Background in grant writing or interest in pursuing a career in grant writing
  • Experience prospecting, researching, and reporting on grants
  • Experience working with nonprofits
  • Bachelor’s degree
