Summary

Provides design engineering support for assigned product development projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned

  • Generates and refines design solutions to identified product requirements, formalize designs with the use of CAD tools.
  • Creates models and drawings to established guidelines and standards.
  • Ensures that products are designed to meet all performance specifications.
  • Conducts engineering analysis to validate designs, makes recommendations for changes when needed.
  • Supports non-NPD initiatives including the resolution of quality issues and productivity initiatives.
  • Provides design support across projects and product categories.
  • Supports creation of needed prototypes and models to validate designs, hands on at times.
  • Participates in deployment of new products through manufacturing start.
  • Creates and maintains specifications and project documentation as needed.
  • Requisitions and performs performance testing as needed.

 

Education and/or Experience                                                  

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience is typical for this role.
  • Demonstrated design and analytic skills
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling required, SolidWorks preferred.
  • Degreed engineer, BSME,BSEE, BSIE preferred
