If so, DE&S have exciting opportunities for engineers with experience using GOLDesp to join their diverse team at Yeovil.

The engineering positions will be within the Wildcat Helicopter Delivery Team (Wildcat DT). The Wildcat DT is responsible to the Front-Line Commands for the In-Service support of the Wildcat AH Mk1 for the Army and the Wildcat HMA Mk2 for the Royal Navy. The Army Wildcat can be employed in a whole host of roles including ISTAR, Airborne Command and Control, Close Air Support, Medical Evacuation, and the Movement of Personnel and Material.

Wildcat is supported by an innovative Wildcat Integrated Support and Training (WIST) contract. This includes training, mission planning, support, and incentives for industry to meet aircraft serviceability targets.

Due to the secure nature of the role, this is a reserved post and open to SOLE UK NATIONALS ONLY.

Responsibilities

This is a challenging but rewarding job dealing with other agencies and Industry Partners. The role requires an Aerospace Engineer with an awareness of Quality Assurance; Configuration Management; and Continuing Airworthiness at the Platform level. The Engineering and Asset Management System (GOLDesp) forms part of the Air System Document Set (ADS) and the data is integral to the Continuing Airworthiness Support and Design Configuration Management.

Duties may include:

• Act as focal point for all aspects of GOLDesp within the Delivery Team.
• Deputise for the Wildcat Configuration Manager at the Wildcat Configuration Control Board & Local Technical Committees as required.
• Maintain GOLDesp data integrity and supply information in support of Platform Airworthiness.
• Attend GOLDesp User Group Meetings.
• Carry out Housekeeping of GOLDesp IAW RA1223 & GOLDesp Publications.
• Carry out in depth searches of GOLDesp data.
• Provide advice and direction to stakeholders as to GOLDesp changes to Aircraft Structures and Engineering Order development.

With your qualifications and experience, you will be able to provide delivery of quality and timely data management services to internal and external customers whilst maintaining air safety and effective engineering through life support.

What you will be assessed against
To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
• A HND/NVQ Level 4 qualification in an Engineering/Science related discipline OR substantial equivalent work experience.
• Experience of the GOLDesp application (preferably at Boundary Cell or Aircraft Custodian level).
• RW Platform experience
It would benefit your application should you be able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:
• Experience of Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Publications preferably Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM).
• An understanding of Aircraft Weight and Balance.
• Practical experience of Configuration Management
