Full-Time Data Integrations Engineer

Job Description

As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for facilitating the acquisition of healthcare data from external vendors and feeding it into the Aledade data warehouse and application layer. This is accomplished by using industry standard tools such as NextGen Connect/Mirth, Pentaho and scripting languages like Python.

Your Footprint:
As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Troubleshooting and debugging complex systems.
Responding to data integrity issues and taking corrective measures.
You are comfortable with ambiguity
You have a keen attention to detail.
You are motivated by solving challenging technical problems.
Thinking ahead and anticipating scalability and performance concerns.
Building and support interfaces to provide accurate and timely data for our practice partners.
Providing thorough pull request reviews for other developers and be receptive to critical feedback on your own work.

What We Value:
Demonstrated experience solving for business value, both short and long-term
Two or more years of experience in a engineering or technology role at a healthcare organization
Familiarity debugging healthcare transactions preferred.
Working knowledge of relational database systems
Experience with both existing and emerging interoperability standards such as HL7 V2.x, as well as CCD/C-CDA, IHE profile, and FHIR.
Bachelor’s degree, or work equivalent, in software engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related field
One or more years of experience working with SQL or other relational database querying language on large multi-table data sets
Familiarity with 837 claims files
Competency with Linux or another Unix variant
Demonstrated ability to write well-designed, well-tested, well-documented code
Familiarity and comfort working with Docker containers
