Full-Time Data Analyst

Job Description

Everytown seeks a motivated Analyst to work with the data team to create and track key metrics, build dashboards, and perform analysis of our supporters and campaigns. This is an ideal opportunity for a creative and mission-driven data practitioner who wants to expand their skill set and be a part of the gun violence prevention movement.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create, analyze and trend KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure success of programs and campaigns
  • Scope out new projects by gathering requirements from stakeholders and determining the metrics needed for decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that help teams gain insight from their data
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis of the behavior and engagement of our grassroots supporters and donors
  • Conduct experiments to determine effectiveness of tools and tactics
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

 

You are a great candidate for this position if you have:

  • 2-3 years experience in a data-focused role
  • Ability to query and analyze data in SQL
  • Quantitative thinking skills and a good eye for numbers
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with data visualization, especially with visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
  • Excellent communication skills in presenting work to a non-technical audience

Even better, but not required:

  • Experience with A/B testing, randomized controlled experiments, or statistical analysis
  • Familiarity with Python or R for analysis, modeling, or visualization
  • Experience with campaign or advocacy platforms and tools (EveryAction, Civis Analytics, etc)

 

The salary range for this position is $65K – $72K per year.  Everytown offers a generous benefits package including Medical, Dental and Vision benefits, PTO, 401K Match, Education Assistance and more.
