Full-Time Data Analyst

Uncommon Goods – Posted by Uncommon Goods Brooklyn, New York, United States

Job Description

Analytics works with numerous departments across Uncommon Goods to turn data into insights.  As a data analyst, you will help our analytics team deliver actionable data to end users within the company to guide decisions and find new business opportunities. An ideal candidate would be humble, curious, and proactive in looking for new solutions and in learning new skills.

You will:

  • Create, improve, and maintain reports within Tableau to help other departments unearth insights, find new ways of evaluating performance, and identify trends in the business.
  • Analyze and explore data to assess the performance of ongoing programs (e.g., marketing initiatives, A/B tests) and to identify new insights and opportunities.
  • Take on other analytical projects as you demonstrate your abilities and interests.

We’re looking for someone with the ambition to break into the data analytics field and learn rapidly.  You’ll be working with a small team of analytics experts that will help shape your development.  Over time, we expect you to develop expertise in our company’s data, and leverage that expertise to develop improvements to our reporting and analysis tools.

We want someone who is humble, curious, and passionate about beginning their analytics career. We also want a great collaborator, someone whose written and verbal skills match their technical ones.  We know from experience that the best data analysts are the ones that can communicate their findings clearly and concisely to business partners across all departments.

Lastly, we want someone who shares a belief in our mission, and who wants to work at a company where doing good is as valued as doing well.
