Job Description
Edpuzzle is one of the fastest-growing companies in educational technology, trusted by over 80% of schools in the USA. Our goal is to bring every teacher and student just a click away from an excellent online education. By creating an extensive library of interactive video lessons, we are on our way to becoming a “one-stop-shop” where teachers can find reliable, standards-aligned content videos to help their students master important science content.

Your responsibilities will include:
Video Script Writing: Develop compelling scripts for short, 5-7 minute video lessons that teachers and students love. Search out the most engaging and interesting phenomena, artifacts, and stories that will “hook” students. Explain concepts clearly using age-appropriate language and examples. Turn feedback from supervisors, editors, and peers into even better work.
Curriculum Planning: Interpret science standards documents and craft lesson objectives to ensure comprehensive coverage. Develop instructional models for videos that maximize utility for teachers and pedagogical effectiveness for students.
Feedback on Video Design: Work closely with members of the video production team to provide direction and feedback on storyboarding, image pulling, illustrations, and animations.
Scaling: Develop efficient processes and define criteria to help scale production of high-quality video lessons.
User Research: Determine teachers’ and students’ needs by talking directly to users. Solicit and incorporate their feedback to improve classroom experiences.

You may come from a professional background as a science teacher, children’s book author, science journalist, or creator of educational YouTube videos. Most importantly, you’re able to use storytelling to engage young learners and provide explanations that foster children’s curiosity and wonder at the world around them.
