Job Description

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain.
• Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction and leverage common processes tools, and information systems.
• Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead the cross-business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment.
• Mitigate long term supplier constraints by collaborating with functional stakeholders.
• Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships.
• Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalate as appropriate.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Inventory Management and Optimization – Uses analytics and algorithms to determine the optimal level of inventory investment across the end-to-end supply chain within specific constraints (warehouse space, customer delivery, etc.); develops inventory strategies to support Cummins’ strategy and not just a business unit strategy ; leads a team of material handlers to support 6 main production lines to ensure each component is at point of use at required time. Candidate also leads Indirect Material team ordering material; goods and services supporting the production lines whilst driving cost reduction in this function.
• Materials KPI Management – Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assesses gaps to the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interprets KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balances trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact to others.
• Materials Planning Parameters – Aligns parameters (minimum order quantity, multiple order quantity, lead time, part cost, etc.) to balance the supply and demand plans while stabilizing the supply chain; runs changes to parameter settings in the planning environment and analyzes the impact to customer delivery and inventory for all Indirect Material.
• Supply Chain Knowledge – Influences, with the ability to concisely explain and/or elaborate on, the multi-disciplined and end-to-end integration of the flow of information, products, and services to achieve the desired result for the end customer within the first-fit or aftermarket business segments while balancing the tensions of inventory, cost, and delivery.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
• B.S or BA in applicable field, MBA preferred
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
