AACI’s Center for Survivors of Torture (CST) is looking for a Behavioral Health Counselor. We are a community health organization serving the marginalized communities in Santa Clara County.

The Behavioral Health Counselor is responsible for providing direct behavioral health rehabilitation services including individual/group/family counseling, culturally relevant assessment, evaluation, and case management.
The ideal candidate:
Master degree in psychology or related field
Minimum 2-3 years of directly related experience
Understanding of cultural issues, community resources and family dynamics
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
Familiarity and experience with trauma informed treatment highly desired
Sensitivity to cultural issues and issues pertaining to refugee populations
Interpersonal skills to build and cultivate strong professional relationship with other service providers throughout the Bay Area
Experience working with diverse ethnic backgrounds and language groups.
Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
English Language proficiency
Ability to possess and maintain a valid CA Driver’s License, must have suitable vehicle for agency travel and current automobile insurance.
Fluency in one of the following languages (Arabic, Amharic, Burmese, Chinese, Dari, Farsi, Punjabi, Hindi, Tigrinya, or Vietnamese) preferred
