Full-Time Creative Services Project Coordinator, Workman

Workman Publishing (WP) is a leading publisher of award-winning lifestyle and nonfiction books, children’s books, cookbooks, parenting/pregnancy guides, and books on gardening, country living, and humor, as well as gift books, fiction, and the bestselling calendar line in the business. WP includes the Workman adult and children’s publishing groups, along with Workman Calendars, Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, Algonquin Young Readers, Artisan, Storey Publishing, and Timber Press. WP is seeking a dynamic, motivated and talented Creative Services Project Coordinator to manage the flow of all Creative Services job requests between publicity, marketing, editorial, sales, and design. If you are a highly organized professional with exceptional communication skills, an interest in creative collaboration, and an eye for design, we would like to meet you.

 

This position reports to the Senior Art Director of Creative Services and resides within the Creative Services department, which is part of Marketing and Publicity. This role will have the opportunity to work across many Workman imprints.

 

We are looking for the role to commute to the NY office with a hybrid office/work-from-home schedule

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Field and route all Creative Services job requests
  • Maintain a detailed schedule of all job requests, printed materials, galleys, and ads
  • Attend and participate in key cross-company meetings to receive and relay information
  • Price out material production for marketing budgets
  • Help brainstorm, create, route, and distribute sales materials
  • Upload and update Amazon A+ campaigns
  • Laise with Gift Sales to create and update gift sell sheets
  • Act as project manager of the cross-imprint and Gift Sales catalogs
  • Manage the creation of all Workman displays
  • Provide input on creative copy and design
  • Provide support to the Creative Services department via general administrative responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Proactive and capable of taking ownership of projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • A great communicator who can collaborate with multiple teams
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Possession of photography skills is a plus
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is a plus
  • Possession of good humor and an excitement for participating in and contributing to a fun, vibrant work environment with a great company culture
