Partnerships 

As a member of the TIFF Partnerships team, the purpose of the Coordinator, Hospitality & Event Partnerships  is to inspire TIFF’s partners to support the activities of TIFF through mutually beneficial partnerships, working towards a collective annual target.

Departmental activities are designed to cultivate, service, renew, upgrade and steward a prescribed portfolio of TIFF’s hospitality, event and corporate partners to engage in TIFF’s mission to transform the way people see the world through film, while helping them meet their business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shall include but not be limited to:

Partnerships

  • Manage a portfolio of small-to-mid-level hospitality partner accounts, contributing to the organization’s financial sustainability through maximized revenue. 
  • Ensure all terms of partnership agreements are fulfilled and that the highest level of account service is delivered, including the development and trafficking of onboarding documents (Welcome Kit), assets, project plans and reports.
  • Retain and support the growth of accounts in line with targets as set out in the annual Performance Agreement by identifying and presenting new partnership opportunities for current partners that bring additional value to TIFF and the partner while aligning with TIFF’s strategic pillars / objectives.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth transition in the handover of new partners, to ensure consistency of service.

Hospitality and Event Partnerships:

  • Support the Senior Manager in managing TIFF’s Hospitality Partners portfolio, including the day-to-day management of select relationships, and the fulfillment of benefits and deliverables
  • Support the Hospitality & Event Partnerships team on select Partner Festival and large-scale event rentals, with guidance. 
  • Support the development of hospitality and rental proposals and contracts, working closely with the admin and contract coordinator on contract and invoice management.
  • Manage event bookings valued at less than $150,000, including but not limited to site visits, cost estimates, contracting, and renewals.
  • General team support for TIFF Bell Lightbox site visits, cost estimate-building/revisions and event bookings system (Artifax) holds.
  • Lead the execution of partnership crediting deliverables for the Hospitality & Event Partnerships team, including but not limited to departmental sign-offs of marketing materials, ad publications, and partner brand recognition.

General:

  • Be an internal advocate for your partners, working collaboratively with all relevant internal departments to develop, implement and fulfill promotional initiatives, ensuring deliverables are met against agreements.
  • Build positive relationships with all partners, focused on periodic, enhanced stewardship opportunities and annual objectives-setting.
  • Provide administrative support to the Partnerships team in the preparation and execution of partner obligations, activations, and events, including but not limited to team Ticketing needs.

JOB GRADE & SALARY OR RATE OF PAY:

  • Job Grade 2
  • $50,000-65,000/annually

  • April 10, 2023

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years of integrated marketing and/or agency experience. Sponsorship, special event, relevant relationship management or equivalent experience in a related field will be considered.
  • Related post-secondary education
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
  • This position requires being in office on a regular basis, aligning with our Flexible Work from Home Policy.
