What you will do!
You will prepare food for distribution to institutional wards or food service tray-lines. You will create recipes, and develop and cook individual menu items in a volume dining or food service facility.You will oversee, supervise, and assign work to lower level staff and clients.


What’s in it for you?



  • One year of experience as a cook in a food service facility


  • possession of a Certificate of Completion in culinary arts and/or Foods and Hospitality Service from a certified community college or technical school.
  • Must have a Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of appointment


  • completion of the Marion County Advanced Food Management Principles and Concepts Training, including HACCP Certification, at the time of appointment.
  • Must always be current & certified in safe hood handling certifications.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining a work environment that is respectful and accepting of diversity among team members and the people we serve.
  • This is an essential position in a 24 hr., seven days a week facility. May be mandated to work additional hours or shifts and will work holidays if they fall within the position’s regular schedule.
  • Valid Oregon Driver’s license.
