Who you are
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Content Marketing Manager to join our B2B startup. As the Content Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, engage target audiences, and generate leads. You will work hand-in-hand with Canary’s Head of Growth and in close collaboration with the sales teams to create and distribute compelling content that aligns with our company’s goals and resonates with our audience. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative individual with a passion for storytelling and expertise in B2B marketing.
- Work closely with the Marketing Director to define and implement a content marketing strategy that supports overall business objectives.
- Produce high-quality, engaging, and informative content, including blog posts, articles, white papers, case studies, infographics, videos, and social media posts, tailored for our audience.
- Develop a multi-channel content distribution plan, leveraging various platforms and channels, such as the company website, social media, email marketing, and webinars, to amplify the reach and impact of content.
- Conduct keyword research and optimize content to improve search engine rankings, increase organic traffic, and drive lead generation.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create relevant content that resonates with the target audience, including understanding target buyer personas, their pain points, and needs.
- Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure consistent content creation and distribution, aligning with marketing campaigns and business priorities.
- Monitor content performance using analytics tools, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to measure the effectiveness of content marketing efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product management, sales, and design teams, to gather insights, align messaging, and ensure consistent brand communication.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content marketing to implement innovative strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience in content marketing, preferably in a B2B or SaaS startup environment.
- Understanding of B2B marketing principles, buyer personas, and the ability to tailor content to address specific pain points and industry challenges.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword research tools.
- Proficiency with WordPress, Hubspot CMS, Google Analytics, and Canva (or other basic design/editing tools).
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience in content creation across various formats.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to gather insights from data and adjust content strategies accordingly.
- Creative thinking and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and compelling content.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
