Terminus is seeking an accomplished Cloud Data Architect to help us build an industry leading Account-Based Marketing platform that allows B2B marketers to do ABM at scale. This role will be pivotal in helping our teams build, scale, and deliver the best-in-class ABM platform on the market to our customers. This will include working with third-party data and integrations, ETL jobs, our data platform, as well as a variety of our other services which require experience in, but not limited to, APIs, messaging, and automation.

Responsibilities

    • Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for data management
    • Design and implement large scale data solutions that are performant, high quality, and future-looking
    • Drive common vision, practices, and capabilities across teams
    • Drive Engineering toward near real-time solutions across our applications
    • Mentor and provide architectural guidance across Product and Engineering teams, and participate in design reviews
    • Lead projects within the architecture team and participate in project and solution estimation
    • Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements
    • Evaluate current data storage systems and propose plans for optimization, including RDS, Dynamo, S3, etc.
    • Develop proof-of-concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions
    • Write and review services coded in Go, Ruby, Java, and other languages/frameworks as necessary
    • Deploy high-volume services to production multiple times per day
    • Maintain infrastructure-as-code in an AWS environment (We use Terraform)
    • Instrument code to provide visibility into performance and reliability
    • Maintain operations by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
    • Work with Support to triage and debug customer and product issues

Requirements

    • 3+ years proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
    • Professional experience building a data asset
    • 5+ years of AWS Redshift, Hadoop, NoSQL, Spark, Beam, and/or Open-Source data management technologies
    • 5+ years in experience in software development
    • Experience in multiple database designs (relational, document, graph)

Preferred Experience With The Following:

    • AWS
    • Apache Airflow (or similar)
    • Big data technology (e.g. Spark, Hive, etc.)
    • Data-related applications of ML
    • Docker in a production environment
    • Kubernetes
