Clinical Director

EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 82,000 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Clinical Director for Community Re-entry Assistance Network (CRAN) and Queens Mental Health Diversion program. The Clinical Director is an exempt position salaried at $80,000- 95,000 per year at 35 hours per week. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM and the office is located in Kew Gardens Queens, NY. The role reports to Division Director.

Primary Purpose of Job:

The Clinical Director is responsible for providing court liaison, assessment and referral to those living with mental illness and persons with co-occurring disorders involved in the criminal justice system into appropriate treatment program and providing clinical support to Manhattan Mental Health Court staff.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Conduct assessment interviews and psychological evaluations and testing for clients referred to Manhattan Mental Health Court.
2. Prepare written reports in a timely manner regarding client’s status with the program, service plan and progress.
3. Utilize the educational training, skills and experience obtained from advanced degree to provide appropriate professional services, techniques and strategies for clients.
4. Develop and review treatment plans for clients accepted into the program and facilitate placement.
5. Investigate and arrange supportive services for clients by establishing relationships and linkages with area hospitals and treatment programs.
6. Maintain complete client records and have available for inspection by Supervision at any time.
7. Provide crisis intervention when needed.
8. Conduct toxicology testing on clients of the Program as needed.
9 Customarily and regularly exercises discretionary powers.
10. Provide clinical support and in-service trainings to program staff and referral agencies.
11. Train and supervise interns, externs, fellows and graduate psychologists.
12. Attend stakeholder events/workshops and represent the agency at meetings when requested.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

1. Must be a licensed Psychologist.
2. Knowledge of treatment and mental health programs required.
3. Minimum of 1 year relevant experience working with the forensic population.
4. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; Ability to work cooperatively with criminal justice, treatment and mental health systems.
5. Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.

This position requires the incumbent to provide acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination
