THE OPPORTUNITY
We are recruiting Associates to join our consulting team in our Boston office. The position offers an opportunity to focus on the most strategic, high impact issues that school systems face and to work directly with respected leaders in K-12 public education. The implementation team focuses on working closely with the software development team and school districts to create products that not only identify but also solve complex issues across elementary, middle and high schools. Additionally, the implementation team is focused on developing projects and processes that can scale quickly and be applied to a wide range of district profiles.

The Associate role has a wide, evolving range of responsibilities, with opportunities for rapid advancement based on demonstrated success. The ideal candidate is interested in education technology with strong organizational and analytical skills. Typical responsibilities range from product development and implementation to usability testing and general QA associated with new product releases or enhancements. More specifically an Associate should have experience with/ interest in the following:

Product implementation through requirements gathering, data collection, analysis, software configuration and training to meet the needs of our clients. This includes: the execution and management of exploratory, functional and regression tests, test cases and test suites; clearly documenting and communicating defects using tracking tools and procedures; providing high level of functionality, usability and testability knowledge during requirements phases and throughout the SDLC; a strong knowledge of development process and SQA methodologies including agile processes; and supporting ongoing continuous improvement efforts for QA practices and adherence to those practices.
Ensuring that clients fully understand solutions presented while demonstrating patience, empathy, and an appreciation for organizational dynamics and the barriers to change.
Supporting successful implementation of multiple, concurrent school district projects by exercising strong project management and communication skills.
Client success and troubleshooting support through close collaboration with district and school leadership.
Serving as an advocate for our software solutions and broader firm initiatives within school districts.
Identifying emerging trends across projects and sharing insights to improve the software and improve implementation efficiency.*

Skills & Experience:
Candidates for the Associate position are preferred to have 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience
(software implementation, customer support, or work in a school in some type of operations based role ideally) and a record of outstanding academic achievement and extracurricular leadership. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and be capable of supporting and growing relationships at all levels of an organization from a Superintendent to principal to teacher. Individuals should be comfortable developing these relationships to ensure we have continued opportunities to serve districts and schools.

Candidates should possess excellent problem solving and brainstorming skills, comfort with quantitative and statistical analysis, and experience with MS Office and G Suite products. Candidates should be able to work both independently as well as collaboratively within a team and be able to present oneself and one’s ideas with clarity, confidence and composure. S/he/they should be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, coupled with a growth mindset and the ability to thrive in an ever changing environment.
