Catalyst Performance Integration Technical Specialist

We are looking for a talented Columbus, IN to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Emission Solutions in Columbus, IN (position will be temporarily remote).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Leading complex catalyst and aftertreatment integration system projects with a cross functional team and drive them to closure.
• Identify and lead key process improvements projects within the team to increase engineering efficiency.
• Appling technical expertise on complex components or projects and works under minimal supervision
• Optimization of the catalyst system to meet requirements for specific applications.
• Troubleshoot current product issues.
• Leading interactions with advanced controls team for future aftertreatment integration concepts.
• Provide guidance to engineers within the team on application specific catalyst and integration work.
• Working with cross functional teams on projects that require, catalyst selection, failure analysis, performance characterization, interpretation and writing of requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be succesful in this role you will require the following:
• Prior experience with engine tuning or aftertreatment tuning and performance characterization desired
• Basic understanding of aftertreatment components and system performance for diesel and alternate fuels engines such as natural gas
• Experience with MATLAB and engine data analysis with limited guidance
• Ability to work independently as a specialist in catalyst performance
• Drive program and deliverables to timely execution and completion
• Overall project management
• Prior experience with catalyst manufacturing process; quality check process; manufacturing data analysis a plus
• Ability to handle complex technical problems and propose solutions

Education, Licenses, Certifications
• Masters of Science, Bachelor of Science, or equivalent degree in engineering required.
• Experience: 4-8 years of relevant work experience.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
