Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Case Manager Supervisor will supervise and train case managers in Compass’s Day and shelter programs, provide oversight of the operations of the case manager program throughout Compass and advocate on behalf of shelter guests for appropriate services including mental health and substance use. This individual also provides leadership and coordination with other agencies that fund or provide services to those experiencing housing instability.

**Effective 12/16/2021, all new hires to Compass are required as a pre-condition of employment to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to their start date.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMS: From mail delivery and banking to hot showers and laundry, our support services help meet people’s immediate needs. Our shelters provide both a safe place to sleep and case management resources. Our enhanced shelter model removes several barriers for people experiencing homelessness by partnering overnight shelter with 24/7 on-site support services and intensive case management including housing navigation services.

LOCATIONS: Pioneer Square, North Beacon Hill and Belltown-Lower Queen Anne Neighborhoods (Seattle, WA)

REPORTS TO: Director of Emergency Services

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SCHEDULE: Weekdays plus evenings and weekends as needed (on-call for emergencies & staffing needs)

SALARY RANGE: $63,000 – $75,000 Annual DOE


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required. Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Independent Social Work (LISW) a plus.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a human service setting desired.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in direct supervision/management of people desired.
  • Experience managing staff, teams, or programs that serve vulnerable populations.
  • Experience in developing and enforcing operating and services procedures, identifying, and implementing best practices in working with persons experiencing homelessness or housing instability required.
  • Experience in outreach, case management and other direct service delivery for persons experiencing homelessness or housing instability required.
  • Awareness and/or training around issues of equity, intersectionality, and belonging.
  • Familiarity with topics of housing instability, mental health, substance use, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence required.
  • Valid WA driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and a driving record that meets Compass standards required.
