Full-Time Campaigns Associate

GG Office Manager – Posted by GG Office Manager Washington, D.C., District of Columbia, United States

Job Description

Do you want to help diverse, community-led projects around the world access additional resources for their important work? Do you enjoy working with people who represent a variety of perspectives and cultures? Do you want to collaborate with a group of colleagues who are committed to excellent work – and having fun while doing so? If so, we want to hear from you!

GlobalGiving is looking for a Campaigns Associate to join our team.

You’ll be part of a team focused on the redistribution of resources to our global nonprofit community. Your work will be to design and manage matching campaigns for GlobalGiving nonprofit partners; assist in the development of marketing tools and training content; and experiment and implement improvements around our strategy to maximize goals related to participation, partner satisfaction, and funds raised.

From crafting communications, tools, and training sessions to creating system improvements, the Campaigns Associate takes a lead role in getting nonprofit partners ready to participate and realize success in matching campaigns. If you stay up late learning about ways to decolonize philanthropy and thrive off of virtual facilitation and community building, we can’t wait to hear from you!

We have a casual work atmosphere where everyone’s input and ideas are valued. We’re committed to work-life balance and offer everyone opportunities to learn, experiment, and grow. Since creative, enthusiastic employees are our most valued resource and the basis for our success, we take great care in how we attract, hire, and support our employees for a successful career. If you care about collaboration, curiosity, communication excellence, and continuous improvement, this position is right for you.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate GlobalGiving matching campaigns: Using detailed project management skills, rally internal stakeholders and hundreds of nonprofit leaders around targeted fundraising moments.
  • Analyze data and iterate in response to feedback: Continually seek to understand and improve the individual fundraising journey for our nonprofit partners and evolve our campaign designs to better serve those facing the toughest barriers to attracting resources
  • Center nonprofit partners: Work with a community-led approach to campaign training and campaign design.
  • Strengthen nonprofit’s fundraising outcomes: Help nonprofit partners improve fundraising capabilities through expert webinar facilitation, timely and engaging communications, fundraising content development, and innovative distributive mentorship models.
  • Build community: Contribute to a more connected and inspired philanthropic sector by leveraging campaigns as a shared experience, understanding each campaign as a unique opportunity to create meaningful connections and cross pollinate winning ideas and best practices.
  • Support Innovation: Assist in aligning and strengthening existing GlobalGiving programs that redistribute philanthropic funding and build community.
  • Participate in cross-team coordination, experimentation, and innovation efforts.

Required Qualifications

For our team to be a great fit for you, the following qualifications should resonate with you:

  • 1-3 years experience in fundraising, community organizing, project management or related fields;
  • Familiarity with best practices in online fundraising and virtual community building.
  • Demonstrated comfort using quantitative and qualitative data to understand a problem, enrich a solution, and/or tell a story;
  • Excellent oral and written interpersonal and communications skills, particularly cross-cultural and web-based;
  • Comfort working within and improving systems; strong operational orientation, project management skills, and focus on quality customer service;
  • Comfort with technology as a power user and as a contributor to improvements in design and usability of web-based user interfaces;
  • Excellent organizational skills, creativity, and flexibility; ability to multi-task under a deadline, with great productivity and attention to detail;
  • A passionate belief in the mission of GlobalGiving and a commitment to our core values.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition, the ideal candidate would also have some or all of the following qualifications:
