We are building an insurance-focused law firm with the deepest bench of coverage experience across all property and casualty classes of insurance business, with the capability to assist insurers from first notification of a claim through to trial and conclusion.

Role Responsibilities

The Business Development Proposal Manager will lead, collaborate and execute on a broad range of duties, including:

  • Assisting lawyers in identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities to develop and promote their respective business lines
  • Managing, creating and executing RFPs, and content and materials for capability statements, and client pitches, including creating customized content as needed
  • Leading development and capturing of US experience and content library and feeding into global platforms and teams
  • Cultivating strong relationships with US partners, global pitch team and SMEs across the US and globally
  • Collaborating on directory submissions to curate experience and practice content to leverage across various BD and marketing channels
  • Supervising and collaborating on and producing marketing materials, including liaising with design team and local outside printers
  • Tracking wins/losses and executing analysis around such
  • Collaborating on the firm’s website, including experience on lawyer profiles and practice pages
  • Collaborating on newsletters, blogs, presentations and other thought leadership and client focused intelligence to be pushed out, including around events

The Business Development Proposal Manager should be a team player with strong intellectual curiosity, and be able to maintain resilience in a highly deadline driven role. They should also have strong organizational and writing skills and a sharp attention to detail. He/she should be able to communicate accurately and professionally with both internal and external clients and vendors and to work independently and complete tasks efficiently with minimal oversight.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 – 8 years relevant experience
  • Excellent relationship building, organizational/project management, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with document management systems such as FileSite a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work at all levels with confidence, a positive and problem solving attitude and the ability to gain credibility quickly.
