JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Manager plays a key role in driving reven ue for Optimal Blue, LLC from their home office and in their assigned territory. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in hunting, building, managing, and consistently delivering high performing sales through a consultative approach. The Business Development Manager will achieve/exceed sales targets by acquiring new customers in the Mortgage Lending Industry.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate a clear cadence of building and maintaining high quality pipeline at all times
  • Recognize customer business problems and drive/influence resources to address these needs; create business proposals around these needs
  • Consistently meet or exceed annual sales quota
  • Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms by selling value and ROI
  • Work effectively to facilitate sales opportunity by orchestrating internal and partner resources
  • Work with Pre-Sales technical resources to gain complete understanding of customer needs and customize the appropriate solution
  • Effectively close sales pipeline by following company’s sales methodology and processes
  • Become a trusted advisor to the customer
  • Adopt and use company’s sales productivity tools
  • Provide timely and insightful feedback to product management and marketing
  • Acts as primary liaison between client and Black Knight and understands client’s needs, including financial expectations and restrictions.
  • Demonstrates product knowledge including various solutions, markets, and competitive intelligence.
  • Develops sales plans and strategies.
  • Listens to concerns of prospects with regard to current products/services.
  • Provides accurate and timely sales forecasts.
  • Within prospect organizations, builds network of both operational and executive level users and maintains knowledge of all products and services utilized.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience and desire to sell multiple core product offerings during sales engagement
  • Skilled in articulating the value and differentiation of solutions
  • Quick learner with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in selling at all levels in the buyer organization by building trust, acting with integrity and leading by example
  • Ability to forge, develop and maintain productive customer relationships
  • Ability to develop effective territory plan using a combination of face to face and phone/web presentations to drive sales with 50% travel within territory as well as to industry events
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other sales automation tool
  • Mortgage industry and/or mortgage software experience a definite plus
  • Requires solid decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent follow-up skills in all areas of sales cycle
  • Ability to show established track record of involvement in industry trade groups preferred
  • Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients and public

Account Executive III

Advanced professional role. A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. Has complete knowledge of company products and services. Typically sells through a specific channel, having own territory, or working on a team and is responsible for medium-sized quota/territory. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new projects or assignments. Typically requires eight (8) or more years of field sales experience.

Although target pay range may vary by work location, a representative pay range is: $90,000 to $110,000 annually, plus commission earnings.

Eligible to participate in medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance and disability insurance, 401(k) plan and employee stock purchase plan.

Eligible to participate in a commission plan.
