While this position is based in New York City, office colocation will be contingent on stay-at-home orders; until then, all employees are working remotely.

The Associate Brand Partner, will report directly into the Sr. Director of Brand Partnerships (B2B), within the Revenue Org. This role will be responsible for fostering and managing relationships with key clients & agency stakeholders to build best-in-class campaigns with the world’s leading brands in the assigned categories.
We’re seeking a self-starter, with experience in B2B media to grow business within soon-to-launch HR Brew and other B2B franchises through consultative & solutions-based selling. This individual should have a passion for B2B partnerships, a drive to relentlessly navigate & network to brand decision-makers, and who constantly seeks to surpass revenue goals and internal expectations.
This is not a typical sales role. Just as we provide the best daily business experience to our readers, we work tirelessly to understand the marketing goals of our advertisers, and develop creative and tailored campaigns that WOW our brand partners without jeopardizing the quality of our voice and brand.
Here’s what you’ll be working on:
  • The Brand Partner will advocate for Morning Brew’s HR Brew & B2B offering of ad products that reaches business decision-makers through engaging & accessible content.
  • Integrating native, B2B, storytelling within HR Brew’s ecosystem of content channels including newsletters, branded and editorial content initiatives.
  • Cohesively weaving together multiplatform activations across newsletters, social, audio, on-site and experiential that exceed client KPI benchmarks.
  • Establishing an industry expertise in people operations and conveying Morning Brew’s powerful audience story to accelerate partnerships.
  • Understanding and utilization of specific data and audience insights that define Morning Brew’s B2B audience.
  • In-depth knowledge of B2B marketing tactics (i.e. ABM, lead-gen).
What makes you qualified?
  • Significant professional digital or integrated media sales experience (2+ years of media and direct media sales experience).
  • History of meeting and exceeding sales quotas as a result of the sale of complex deals.
  • Strong foundation of deep/meaningful client (brand and agency) relationships. You will be expected to quickly initiate quality conversations, RFP inclusion and/or other immediate revenue-generating opportunities.
  • ‘Thorough understanding of the full sales cycle and digital media operations. This includes researching, prospecting, outreach, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Ability to lead and close an RFP process, creating tailored partner proposals that include: native digital content, audio integrations, long-form content, social media & virtual event sponsorships.
  • Forecast, track and report on sales performance, meeting quarterly targets set by management.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Creativity is also a must.
  • Passion for and belief in Morning Brew, its mission and its franchises and products.
