Assistant Lecturer of Interior Design

The R. Wayne Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning and the Department of Construction Management and Interior Design are seeking a prospective full-time contract position for Assistant Lecturer of Interior Design available August 20, 2021.
The Department of Construction Management and Interior Design is home to a vibrant and collegial work environment. The Interior Design program consists of six full-time faculty and approximately 120 students who enter through a rigorous selective-entry process. The program has been continuously CIDA accredited since 2007.
Duties include: Teaching 12 credit hours of undergraduate or online graduate courses per semester. Developing new courses, as needed and/or revise existing courses. Participating in department, college and university service tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related disciplines. Minimum of two years’ professional experience.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related disciplines with at least one degree in Interior Design from an accredited program alongside the following qualifications. Post-secondary teaching experience. Familiarity with design/building software. Ability to teach courses in Construction Management. Evidence of involvement in professional organizations in the discipline. Professional registration/certification (e.g., NCIDQ, RID, RA, LEED, WELL, etc.)
