Job Summary:
Reporting to the Brand & Promotions Manager, the Assistant Brand & Promotions Manager will participate in designing and implementing brand-building strategies to drive awareness, trial and sales with target audiences. You will support the management and coordination of activities related to all aspects of planning, budgeting, marketing, sales and reporting of our business across multiple channels.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of promotional campaigns and programs for current and new readers, liaising with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure the timely and on budget delivery. You will complete post campaign and promotional analysis and make recommendations to improve future planning. You will track and manage the brand budget to ensure profitable delivery of marketing initiatives and provide a monthly budget reconciliation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing and evolving the Harlequin brand strategy.
• Assist in the development of annual brand and promotional plans.
• Support the media strategy development and lead the execution of all supporting creative requirements.
• Head the execution of all promotional campaigns and initiatives.
• Employ your strong communication and relationship management skills to manage plans cross-functionally and with external agencies and partners.
• Assist in the development of new opportunities and partnerships.
• Lead campaign and promotional examination, ROI examination, and make recommendations based on findings

Qualifications:
Specific training or job experience required includes:
• Partnership development & relationship management experience.
• Budget management experience with eye towards optimization and cost reduction.
• Familiarity with data and metrics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), specifically for the following functions:
o Building engaging Powerpoint presentations
o Budget building and tracking in Excel
o Data analysis in Excel
• Strong interest and understanding of digital marketing and social media.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of brand management in the consumer goods industry.

Competencies/Skills:
Competencies and skills required to perform this job include:
• Excellent communication skills and highly collaborative.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive approach with exceptional creativity, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Interest in or knowledge of/experience in book publishing.
