Reports To: Director of Development

Campus: Brighton

Compensation: $54,000-$62,000 (based on experience)

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Annual Fund Manager (AFM) at 2Life Communities is an integral part of the Fund Development team (FD). This position supports the growth of 2Life’s fundraising efforts by maintaining our donor database with precision and accuracy; it includes but is not limited to regular data entry, maintenance of the system, and tracking of donor and prospect information. The AFM will produce reports on various fundraising metrics, including regular monitoring of the annual campaign, capital campaign(s), event fundraising activities, and grant payments.

The AFM will also implement all aspects of the acknowledgment/tax receipting process, invoicing, and individual donor account management and will support the FD team, including lay leadership, on our annual fundraiser, Raising the Roof. This position is also the lead internal liaison with 2Life’s Finance Department to reconcile gifts and pledges.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

  • The AFM maintains an accurate 2Life donor database, presently Raiser’s and Edge NXT.
  • Responsible for all gift entries for donor gifts and pledges.
  • Provides support for a team of 5 individuals that are responsible for day-to-day fundraising.
  • Runs regular reports for analyzing progress in fundraising throughout the year.
  • Responsible for best practices for the entry and maintenance of donor records.
  • As part of the onboarding of relevant staff, the AFM will train staff on Raiser’s Edge NXT functions and uses.
  • Performs maintenance projects on the database as necessary such as, archiving data and deduping constituents.
  • Processes and acknowledges gifts promptly per approved policies and procedures for turnaround and accuracy.
  • Generates and files correspondence related to gifts processing, including tax receipts and invoices and tribute notification cards.
  • Crafts, updates, and individualizes donor acknowledgments as needed.
  • Manages the strategy development and design of direct mail, primarily responsible for planning the direct mail calendar, maintaining the timeline, and implementing all direct mail solicitation efforts, including managing vendors for design, production, and mailing. Helps to craft messaging for appeals.
  • Organizes and implements annual solicitations of residents on each campus.
  • Oversees efforts to solicit families of residents at a minimum once each year. Works with each Campus Executive Director (ED) to develop a calendar, craft an appeal, and distribute 1-2 times a year.
  • Supports FD team for any donor receptions/events, including FD major fundraiser (Raising the Roof), annual fund-focused events, and potential reception for future planned giving society.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Three years of database management experience.
  • Expertise with technology and software, including but not limited to MailChimp, Raiser’s Edge NXT, and SalesForce.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality with donor records and information.
  • Practiced and dependable attention to detail and organization.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
