£27,165 – £28,958 per annum 

37 hours per week 

The working pattern is Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day, Friday 7 hours per day 

52 weeks per annum

Common Leys Farm Campus 

This is a maternity cover and is fixed term until approximately 09/02/2024 

We are recruiting for a well organised and motivated supervisor to join the team at Common Leys Farm campus. This is an exciting post involving line management of the animal care instructor/technicians, caring for a wide range of animals and supporting students to develop a high level of employability skills. 

You will be responsible for the line management of the animal care instructor/technician team and for the day to day running and organisation of the animal care unit. You will be working with a wide range of animals on our animal unit, including reptiles, rodents, birds, paddock animals and farm livestock amongst others. You should be qualified to a minimum of level 3 in a recognised animal subject and have recent experience of people supervision and working within animal collections or in a college environment. You must enjoy working with young people and be confident working with and supervising students in a wide variety of routine duties and practical animal husbandry tasks and have experience of working with a wide range of domestic animals. 

The role is full time and includes some weekend working. You would be part of a dedicated, flexible team of lecturers, instructors, technicians and support staff based at the farm.
