Our Risk Management and Patient Safety team is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team.  We are looking for someone who thrives in providing administrative support to a team and our members.  Our team works collaboratively across all office locations: Alamo, Glendale, Granite Bay and San Diego, supporting members in California, Oregon and Washington.  Do you have a passion for administrative support roles?  Do you have a strong attention to detail?  Do you enjoy building long-lasting relationships with a team?  Do you possess great problem-solving skills and work well under pressure and time constraints to meet deadlines?  If so, our team is looking for you!

This role will report to the Senior Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety and provide support to the directors, managers and staff in the Risk Management and Patient Safety department and our members.  This position is hourly, non-exempt, allows telecommuting up to 4 days a week and must be based a commutable distance from either our Alamo or Glendale California office.



  • Prepare email correspondence, manuals, meeting agendas and minutes
  • Manages schedule of department staff as needed
  • Manages travel and process expenses for department staff
  • Work with Finance to process member reimbursements for travel expenses
  • Processes Risk Funds for BETA members and insureds
  • Provides support for various projects, workshops and symposia
  • Uses software to support projects and project outputs that promote department efficiencies
  • Complete intermediate planning functions to support projects, meetings and programs
  • Ability to travel by car or airplane, including overnight stays
  • Other duties as assigned



  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience in an administrative support role is required
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Concur, Docusign, ImageRight strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Jira or similar Project Management software strongly preferred
  • Applies critical thinking and uses problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibits empathic communication, emotional intelligence and excellent customer service
  • Excellent grammar and mathematical skill


Hiring base salary range: Up to $55,000 annually depending on experience

  • Note the amount listed is the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this position.
