Shift: Monday- Friday, Hours: 8 shift in regular business hours

The Accounts Representative will be working in the Self-Pay Department responsible for handling patient accounts where proper case handling and research is necessary to bring to account closure. The associate will be specifically responsible for reviewing and validating bankruptcy claims to ensure statement and account balances are resolved with patients.

In this role, the successful candidate will report to the Accounting manager. The successful candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of billing and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify case information with vendors and document within hospital systems to ensure patient systems are updated
• Works with third party vendors to ensure process is completed and appropriate follow up procedures are documented and handled appropriately
• Reviews and processes bankruptcy and probate claims against patient account balances
• Manually follow process and procedures to appropriately document and key in information necessary to resolve bankruptcy cases and patient balances

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience work with billing, payment, case or account resolution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working in account receivable role
• Associates degree
