Full-Time Accounts Receivable Accountant

Job Description

Summary:

This Accounts Receivable and Collection Accountant (AR Accountant) will work in the Revenue Finance Organization reporting to the Senior Revenue Manager and will be primarily responsible for processing product and service sales transactions (invoices & credits) and posting customer payments. Additional tasks may include preparing and maintaining reports related to AR and Revenue as well as assisting/supporting the Revenue team with ad hoc requests, all within the company’s policies & procedures for revenue recognition and operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Issue Invoices on a monthly basis.
  • Post Payments against Customer Invoices as received.
  • Process Debit/Credit Memos as needed.
  • Manage all aspects of Treatment Planning Services, including Invoicing, Revenue Recognition, and internal & external customer contact.
  • Maintain the Daily Cash Receipts Report to assist with cash forecasting.
  • Primary contact for Government related invoices and payments.
  • Input financial statement data into Credit Evaluation model to assist with Collection Probability Review
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close related tasks, such as preparing: AR Aging and DSO calculation, AR and Revenue confirmation letters for Audit purposes, compiling supporting data for account reconciliations
  • Support the Revenue Team with ad hoc requests or tasks which allow an individual to get broader experience in overall revenue function.

Qualifications:

a. Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of general accounting experience
  • Understanding and application of basic accounting principles and requirements (needed for proposing and booking journal entries)
  • Ability to learn and understand business goals
  • Must be proactive and able to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Commitment to excellence and impeccable ethical standards and integrity
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and PIVOT Tables

b. Preferred or Desired

  • AR experience
