Onsite Job Description:

  • Responsible for accounting related functions for operational accounting systems, primarily corporate cash receipts, corporate payables and corporate accounting.
  • Position is primary contact for banks for daily deposits and system feeds in corporate cash receipts. Position in corporate payables interacts with vendors and subsidiaries daily and audits transactions to ensure company disbursement and travel policies are adhered to.
  • Position in corporate accounting administers and reconciles daily cash reporting and supports month end close processes.
  • Responsible for analyzing, researching and correcting discrepancies (rather than just daily data entry). Position requires understanding of moderately technical accounting.
  • Supports FEP Accounting team with preparing monthly journal entries, special plan invoices and account reconciliations.

Essential functions:

  • Responsible for reviewing tax ID documents (W9) related to agent records established in the AP system.
  • Prepare monthly FEP journal entries
  • Downloading reports from FEP Director’s Office system, ERNIE, to complete journal entries and perform analysis of claims and administrative costs
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations, including researching variances, and offering recommendations for resolution
  • Prepare Special Plan Invoices for submission to the FEP Director’s Office
  • Support all audits utilizing accounting systems, e.g. PeopleSoft, to run queries to access requested audit information, such as outside vendor services expenses and/or invoices and journal entries with supporting documentation
  • Quarterly entry of allowable FEP allocated cost into FEP Director’s Office PACER system and proposed annual budget entry into same system to assist Sr. Manager in actual to budget variance analysis reporting
  • Perform budget coordinator duties for department cost center, which includes researching and analyzing the department’s actual to budget variances
  • Record cost center time coding

Job Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and Word
  • PeopleSoft General Ledger
  • Hyperion Budget
  • FEP Director Office systems (ERNIE & PACER)
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and work effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to handle high volume of work
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities within tight timeframes


  • 0-2 Years of finance and accounting experience


  • High school diploma or GED
