Join Cable One, Inc. (NYSE: CABO) as our Corporate Staff Accountant (Accountant II). You will be joining a fast paced environment where teamwork is key to ensuring all tasks are accomplished. In your role you will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

What this position does to contribute to the Company’s success:

  • Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process of assigned areas, including related stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls that support internal and external reporting.
  • Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related adjusting entries in support of assigned areas.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts; Investigates and resolves variances on a timely basis.
  • Supports assigned internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
  • Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
  • Proactively seeks to keep abreast of accounting, reporting and disclosure standards promulgated by the FASB, SEC and PCAOB that affect internal accounting and reporting practices. Provides sound analysis and supports the impact of changes.
  • This position has the expectation and responsibility to take on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles and abide by our Organization’s values.


  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university focusing in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 year’s experience in general accounting area.
  • Knowledge and understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP). 
  • Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver quality results on time. 
  • A passion for learning, continuous improvement, and personal growth.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
