You will find great opportunity with SDL’s AI and Machine Translation business as an OEM Sales Executive. As an OEM Account Executive, based out of your home office, your primary mission will be to drive the full lifecycle sales process with potential partners and key target accounts. You will cultivate relationships with these targets and close revenue generating deals.  Please note it is critical that applicants to this role have prior experience with OEM embedded systems sales, ideally within the analytics or security space, or as a vendor to the software industry.  You must also excel at financial modeling and shaping of large, complex OEM deals.  Candidates must demonstrate market research, prospecting, business development and deal-making abilities, preferably in an OEM context.

You will tap into your keen abilities to learn technology and master the value selling approach to identify how SDL’s AI-based Machine Translation technology can enhance a partner’s product vision and align with key partner goals.  You will build consensus around that vision with the prospective partner, and create high-value long-term licensing arrangements.  You will continuously build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of our potential partners’ markets, products and customers, as well as SDL’s evolving set of technology solutions.

It is required that you understand the nuances of embedded systems OEM relationships, and preferably have successfully sold in this capacity previously.  Candidates with proven success selling software for integration through an API and SDK are an ideal fit for this role. Candidates must also understand the business and process fundamentals of being successful with embedded solution sales and have a proven track record of success.  Experience working with senior professionals such as C-Level Executives or VP’s to identify vision and recognize prospective partnership opportunities will be critical to your success and help you make a big positive impact from day one.  Awareness of key industry trends and economic drivers will also be critical to your success.  Your highly tuned organization skills and attention to detail will help develop advanced account strategies, build account maps, and understand the financial impact for the partner when they use or don’t use our product.  You will also be expected to use industry-standard tools to accurately manage your sales pipeline.  Highly accomplished written and verbal communication skills are a must and will be used to frequently correspond with internal and external clients.  You will be expected to develop and deliver compelling presentations tuned for each prospect and partner.  This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role that will require the creativity to customize solutions for clients and the know-how to involve the product team to be able to deliver products appropriate to partner expectations.  For the driven professional with a proven knack for cultivating valuable, OEM relationships, this role can provide you with a unique opportunity.  If this sounds like a match for you, apply today!


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience selling OEM SaaS and on-premise solutions in the areas of analytics, security, and communications.
  • Familiarity with Cloud and on-prem API and SDK based integrations and embedding scenarios
  • Willingness to map uncharted territory and create new practices to serve moving markets
  • Strong financial modeling abilities to align SDL pricing with partner business models in unique ways.
  • Highly motivated professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience building and closing large OEM contracts
  • Ability to influence and persuade key influencers and exec-level decision makers
  • Strong organizational, planning and scheduling skills, detail-oriented
  • Tenacious and extremely results driven
  • Aptitude and willingness in learning fast
  • Creative, disruptive and versatile; able to think fast and out-of-the-box
  • Strong communication, decision making and relationships-building skills
  • Experience using SFDC to manage activities and deliverables
  • 20 – 40% Travel when appropriate
