Traditional 235 work days 

FTE: 1.0

Salary Range: $52,310 – $63,482

  

Essential Functions and Objectives:

Responsible for aligning business objectives to designated departments and functions. Consults with leadership and supports district activities which engage schools, businesses, community leaders and organizations in a collaborative effort to improve performance and achieve team goals. 

The Charter Information System Support (CISS) Partner role works with charter schools to improve their access to and ability to leverage district data systems. This role supports charter school users with their student data and contractually agreed-upon reporting to the district and State of Colorado; serves as a liaison among the district’s charter schools, the Department of Technology Services (DoTS) and the Portfolio Management Team (PMT); and trains charter users to expand their knowledge and full use of the District student information system, currently Infinite Campus. They also contribute to strategic projects to improve the systems, processes, and procedures. 

Provides guidance, makes recommendations, and manages solutions for alternate methods of solving needs or issues within departments. Represents the district in meetings; provides market and customer feedback to partners and management teams. Forms strategic relationships within the community and district network. Builds trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders by communicating needs and creating synergy.

Conducts onsite research, administers studies, evaluates survey results, analyzes and reports on initiatives and goals. Identifies and defines problems within internal departments and determines solutions to inform, influence, and propel solutions. Obtains and analyzes data to discover useful information and recommend solutions for the district. Participates in and supports decision-making processes with the goal of determining success criteria.

Ensures adequate lines of communication by conducting meetings, advocating for clients, following up, and negotiating to enhance team partnerships. Maintains communication with partners and clients on relevant topics including new service or product offerings, strategic plans, and beneficial activities. Follows up on leads and inquiries obtained by partners that compliment and support the business.

Provides management teams the opportunity to achieve specific personal or professional goals by providing training and guidance. Develops and conducts trainings for managers, such as facilitation, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, and effective group interaction skills. Assigns individuals for valuable job-related skills training to improve work performance.

Provides training and support for campus Master and Student Scheduling.

Work with the student data manager at each charter school to support and solve individual student data issues.

Provides consultation to charter schools about third-party technical product implementation, abilities, and limitations. 

Liaises with stakeholders in all areas of the business in order to understand and document functional requirements, process flows, and data usage to devise and propose optional data/process solution options.

Understands student and employee data and how it is consumed by business systems; knowledgeable about up and downstream data flow liabilities.

Communicate and support student data privacy requirements for student data integration, ODS, and student usage.

Support charter student data records through operational data store (ODS) integration and maintenance.

Ensuring the integrity of data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis. 

Provide support for student data integration into Clever, FTP Sites and other student data integration methods. -Analyzes and resolves technical issues at a Tier I, II, and III support level. -Assist with application upgrades, conducting unit testing as needed.

Manage, monitor, and review each Charter School’s Student Information System (or SIS, which is Infinite Campus) Configuration to assure charter schools are properly set up for student data entry within any Infinite Campus module that each charter school chooses to utilize.

Communicate and support student data privacy requirements for student data integration, ODS, and student usage.  

Provides excellent levels of customer service and support tracking in the DPS ticketing system with transparency request reporting to Charter users.

Provide on- and off-boarding process training and support of the DPS human resource data platform, currently Infor HR.

Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with charter school staff, business partners, team members, and vendors.

Communicates effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues, including communications to share information and resolve conflict.

Participates in strategic projects, defined in collaboration with other team members, to develop relationships with other DPS teams and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team’s work.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

Three (3) or more years of relevant experience.

Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multicultural environment with district and school leaders, faculty, staff and students.

Effective communication skills.

Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail.

The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.

High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

Experience in managing business applications, project implementation, and project support, preferred.

Experience using program and project processes and methodologies, preferred.

Experience implementing processes and projects across multiple levels of the organization, preferred.

Experience eliciting, developing, and documenting data requirements, preferred.

Data analysis skills, preferred.

Backend SQL experience, preferred.

Knowledge of Java scripting, preferred.

Ability to work effectively independently as well as collaboratively within a team, preferred.

Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities at the same time.      

Education Requirements:

Associate’s Degree in IT required.
