Essential Functions and Objectives:

– The Speech Language Pathologist assesses and treats students with language, pragmatics, articulation, functional communication, voice, and fluency disorders. Conduct functional behavioral assessments. Develops picture communication systems and picture/word schedules. Develops social skills groups for children on the high functioning autism spectrum and/or Asperger’s. Collaborates with members of the autism team to design programs for children on the ASD spectrum. Gathers and organizes information, and writes reports and completes paperwork related to the IEP process. Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications: Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) supervision is available upon request. Must possess a current Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License with an Endorsement in Speech. Experience as a school speech-language pathologist with all levels of students on autism spectrum. Must possess a current certificate for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, renewed as required.

Credential Requirements:

– Special Service Initial License
– Special Service Professional License
– Speech: Cert Of Clinical Competency


Education Requirements:


– Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (communication disorders) or progress towards such a degree.
