Job Description
As a Front End Developer you will help shape and share the Shield AI story by devoting your web development and motion graphic skills to building,optimizing and maintaining the Shield AI digital presence. You will work alongside a team devoted to excellence, committed to collaboration, and focused on helping customers and talent understand the power of AI and Shield AI’s power to protect service members, first responders and civilians.

What you’ll do:

      • Work within Shield AI’s Marketing team, collaborating across teams to help showcase our cutting-edge AI and robotics technology.
      • Build and maintain responsive and secure website/s for maximal speed, usability and accessibility
      • Follow design guidelines from SAI design system and mocks provided by designers
      • Conceptualize and present website ideas and strategies to key stakeholders using user flows, process flows, and wireframes
      • Testing and optimizing the design of the website
      • Establish and enforce design guidelines, standards, and best practices
      • Animate visual imagery to be used on the website and across marketing media
      • Design and customize email campaign templates
      • Contribute to Design System by building out guide and components
      • Work across website and Marketing team to create an excellent user experience in dynamic environment

People we’re looking for have the following required education and experience:

    • Degree in computer science/ design or related field
    • Extensive experience with Drupal and Acquia, preferably an Acquia certified partner
    • 2-4 years website experience
    • Expert HTML/ CSS/ Javascript coding and editing knowledge
    • Familiar with bootstrap or similar responsive frameworks
    • Strong typography, layout and key design principles
    • In-depth understanding of the web development process (design, development, and deployment)
    • General testing / debugging
    • Module monitoring

Preferred qualifications and competencies:

      • After Effects, Photoshop, Figma and/ or Sketch
      • FinalCut Pro and/or Premiere
      • DoD or Technology familiarity & experience
      • Familiar with React framework
      • You have a demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
      • You are patient, you are kind, you have poise and you don’t shy away from delivering excellent work even while facing  tight deadlines for a dedicated team which values your effort.
      • You are creative and excited about working across teams to further the Shield AI mission by sharing it across media.
      • Ability to work cross-functionally with ease.
