Salary Range: $68,683- $83,116

Essential Functions and Objectives:

Lead the annual review and ongoing monitoring of 60+ autonomous charter schools relative to contract benchmarks around academic performance, organization health, and compliance. Implement differentiated school improvement strategies through oversight and execution of the total quality assurance process, by providing oversight and support to charter schools in collaboration with cross-district support partners and teams.

– Execute Tiered Quality Assurance Program with excellence, including mandatory oversights, optional supports, and continuous progress monitoring, with assurance that issues of equity are integrated into tiering criteria and processes.

– Create access to high-quality supports to help drive gains in academic/operational performance, including but not limited to creation of peer-to-peer learning opportunities, leading of school site visits, and collaboration with charter partners to improve and streamline support services.

– Ensure school compliance with federal and state school improvement initiatives, including review of Unified Improvement Plans (UIPs) of charter schools for compliance and quality; in alignment with statutory requirements, provide feedback and support to schools on UIP development and revision.

– Provide coaching, thought-partnership, and research-based feedback to build the capacity of charter school leaders and Boards to improve the school’s program in alignment with the school’s mission.

– Collaborate with Portfolio senior leadership on school accountability initiatives as appropriate, including escalation of trending school needs and gaps in service, and supporting and advising on school-specific issues.

– Develop the tiered framework for charter schools.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

– 2+ years of Successful experience working in or with school improvement initiatives.

– Experience coaching teachers and/or principals.

– Principal Certification preferred.

– Knowledge of program management best practices.

– Work style that yields high results when working independently or as part of a team.

– Ability to foster effective relationships with district staff, schools, and external partners.

– Ability to prioritize multiple projects.

– Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals, establish priorities, and organize resources.

– Ability to multi-task without compromising integrity or fidelity.

– Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and/or Project Management Software (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).

– Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.

– Inspired, visionary who can foster/generate excitement, buy-in and understanding with colleagues and employees outside of the team.

– High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

– Knowledge of best practices in school improvement, coaching, and adult learning.

Education Requirements:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Education is required.

– Master’s Degree in Education is preferred.
