Position Overview
Under the direct supervision of a registered Psychologist, for a period not to exceed twelve months, actively participates in in-service and on-the-job training to develop further expertise in the field of clinical psychology; is assigned controlled work assignments of increasing difficulty, complexity, and responsibility. Serves as a member of the Treatment Team to discuss treatment plans and progress. Receives training in how to administer, score and interpret psychological screening tests and other evaluation instruments. Attends assigned committee meetings and provides input into meeting goals of committee.
Job Responsibilities
1. For a period not to exceed twelve months, actively participates in in-service and on-the-job training to develop further expertise in the field of clinical psychology, is assigned controlled work assignments of increasing difficulty, complexity, and responsibility.
2. Serves as a member of the Treatment Team to discuss treatment plans and progress.
3. Receives training in how to administer, score and interpret psychological screening tests and other evaluation instruments.
4. Attends assigned committee meetings and provides input into meeting goals of committee.
5. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires possession of a master’s degree in psychology from a recognized college or university.
Employment Conditions
1. Requires the ability to work after business hours, weekends, and holidays on a rotation basis.
2. Requires the ability to physically restrain individuals as necessary to prevent injury to the individual or others.
3. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
4. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
5. Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
