HR GENERALIST

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Talent Management: Leads the recruitment process. This includes conducting phone screening, coordinating interviews and job postings, performing testing of applicants, reference, and background checks as necessary, and preparing offer letters and hiring packages
• Performance Management: Supports the documentation and communication of the performance management process
• Health & Safety: Ensures all health & safety policies are implemented and being adhered to at all branches
• Employee Relations: Assists in employee relations by advising and counseling on areas of discipline, the application of policy and procedures, motivation, and development to ensure an efficient and productive work environment
• Benefits Administration: Manages benefits enrollments and determines employee eligibility
• HR Analytics: Prepares, presents, and analyzes Human Resources specific metrics results and statistics. Makes recommendations as it relates to the metrics (i.e., absenteeism reports, turnover reports, and options to overcome obstacles etc.)

Required Qualifications:
• Post-secondary college diploma or university degree specializing in Human Resources.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) Designation would be considered an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills with demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues in a professional manner
• Ability to handle time sensitive inquiries and working in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong technical proficiency with experience using Human Resources Information Systems, Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, and interest in learning new application functionality
