Job Description

REMOTE POSITION

Director of Growth Marketing

Company Overview:

At Funraise, our goal is to put both the funds and the fun in fundraising. As a growing startup, we seek out nonprofits that need a technology boost and provide them with the most useful, user-friendly fundraising tools in the industry. Every day, we work hard, win together, and celebrate the impact that our customers make with our help. (Warning: we go through a lot of confetti.)

Position Overview:

Funraise is hiring for a Growth Marketer, specifically because we want to… grow. While we’re looking for short-term, immediate lift in leads and engagement, we also realize the value of building a sustainable structure for long-term loyalty.

That’s where you come in—a whiz at building campaigns, and just as adept at pivoting to try something new. Part creative, part scientist, you come up with out-there ideas and then diligently test each iteration until you’ve reeled it in, landing a few big ones on the way.

Your happy place is the customer funnel, and both Funraise product and customers are better for your insights. In addition to picking up on what customers love and figuring out how to give them more of it, you also help us pick low-hanging marketing fruit so that even more nonprofits discover Funraise.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, executing, testing and optimizing our growth strategy
  • Responsible for inbound, adoption and revenue targets
  • Manage campaigns across channels to drive demand, adoption and retention
  • Partner with Sales team to generate and scale pipeline
  • Partner with Product team to increase adoption and retention
  • Gather, analyze, organize and report on marketing data
  • Use data to make projections and find new opportunities
  • Build and lead a next-level marketing team

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as Head of Growth or Senior Growth Marketer
  • 3+ years of experience in demand generation or marketing operations
  • Expertise in customer life-cycle marketing: acquisition, adoption, retention
  • Expertise in scaling brand awareness and demand
  • Expertise in digital tactics: SEO, SEM, PPC, Social, Email
  • Expertise in process automation and CRMs
  • Expertise in budgeting and forecasting
  • Expertise with SaaS, product-led growth
  • Experience with traditional tactics: trade shows, partnerships
  • Experience with experimentation and A/B testing
  • Experience leading teams
  • Exceptional communication, writing and organizational skills
  • Exceptional technical and data management skills
  • Ability to create content and execute campaigns independently

We are looking for someone who can add to our team and organization and recognize there is no such thing as a “perfect” candidate. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet 100% of the listed qualifications and experience. Candidates of diverse backgrounds and lived experiences who meet many of the qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply.

Company Core Values:

1. We are Tenacious

2. Customer Impact Focused

3. Team Over Self

  • Carry out and communicate current DEIA policies, procedures, and processes
    • Champion and articulate support for DEIA initiatives with internal and external stakeholders
    • Drive internal reflection about the success and pitfalls of DEIA initiatives
  • Foster an inclusive, transparent company culture where every voice is welcome, heard, and respected with empathy and compassion
    • Be aware of unconscious bias (including your own) and communicate the importance of managing bias and interrupting “ism” statements
    • Acknowledge multi-cultural holidays, days of remembrance, and celebrations
    • Ensure that your team has the opportunity and safe space to take a stand on social issues important to them
  • Collaborate with People Ops/DEIA to research, envision, create, and implement strategic training/learning programs that…
