DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a highly analytical person to join our Trade Compliance Team who are collectively responsible for the movement of goods across UK borders to multiple UK manufacturing and global customer sites. This role is part of corporate supply chain business unit and can be based in either Daventry, Darlington or Huddersfield, UK.

Key responsibilities will include;
• Management of CFSP, Customs Warehousing and Inward Processing, HS Classification, Preferential Origin management, gaining an understanding of duty management systems and completing process audits.
• Analyze import/export activities to ensure that Cummins does not violate any restrictions on import/export activities.
• Research local laws, regulations and processes in regards to import/ export transactions and present this information in a meaningful way to the relevant parties within supply chain.
• Monitor import/ export activities across the UK, collecting data and creating reports as necessary.
• Gather relevant documentation to draft and submit applications for import/ export licenses; oversee the approval process with appropriate government contacts.
• Collaborate with brokers to ensure that the organization has the required supporting documentation and is compliant with import/ export regulations.
• Prepare documentation to support the importing and exporting of materials across the UK.
• Identify and implement process improvements that will enhance compliance controls; improving colleague understanding, process and tracking efficiency.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Skills and Experience Required:
• A background in trade/ customs analysis, shipping, supply chain, logistics and/ or finance would be highly beneficial alongside any relevant qualifications.
• Advanced Excel experience is required.
• To be a detail orientated person with the ability to meticulously interpret information, and relay it back to the relevant parties in a simple and easy to understand way.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Salary between £ £27,700 – 34,500 depending on relevant experience.
