At YMCA DLG, our values are welcome, support and inspire – young people tell us they see great evidence of the first two in service delivery, but we need to do better on the third. Join us as Inspire Coach and help us put all our values into practice.

As Inspire Coach you will be part of a team of staff who facilitate and provide our groupwork, activities and volunteering programme. The programme supports and adds value to, commissioned services, and their core aims of preventing homelessness, increasing safety, improving wellbeing, and increasing opportunities to get into work/learning.

You must be passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people, many of whom have experienced homelessness, been in care or had multiple adverse childhood experiences. You should have experience of delivering high quality support or learning services for single homeless people and/or young people, experience of designing, delivering and evaluating inspirational sessions and be an agent for effecting positive change.

The programme you will deliver includes life skills, employability skills, support to identify and access work and learning, well-being support, and ‘familial’ activities such as shared meals and outings, as well as one to one mentoring. Crawley Foyer also benefits from a dedicated music media/recording studio. We would welcome applicants with experience or passion for using this equipment to support the aspirations of young people.

You will also help facilitate the delivery of the involvement and influencing work in supported housing, ensuring that the groupwork and activities programme is co-produced with young people and that young people are consulted and are able to influence change in their setting, across the organisation and beyond.

The post location covers services in Crawley and Horsham. The successful applicant will spend equal time in both locations.

The position comes with excellent benefits, including 27 days annual leave per annum (plus bank holidays), a company sick pay scheme, a life assurance policy of 2x your annual salary, a health and wellbeing cash plan, and a cycle to work scheme.
