We at DE&S have two exciting roles for those fascinated by cutting edge weapons technology. If you want the chance to work first-hand with weapons systems with an organisation dedicated to supporting your career development, through to Chief Engineer, then we want to hear from you!
Reporting to a senior engineer, becoming part of our Air-to-Air Missile team, you will support the procurement and integration of air-launched missiles onto fast-jet aircraft and the Queen Elizabeth Carrier, as well as providing in-service support.
Working with us, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with customer requirements, that the equipment is fit for purpose, allowing our armed forces to continue to operate in the most demanding environments.

Responsibilities
You will manage the engineering technical requirements of the equipment, including design changes, integration, contract assessment and change management.
You will support the development and maintenance of system requirements, including input into Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) and in-service support. To do so you will need to draw upon your awareness of regulations.
You will support quality management and assurance processes and ensure technical risks are understood and escalated appropriately, contributing to necessary reports.
You will contribute and support the production of Engineering Management Plans.
Interfacing with industry as the intelligent customer, you will build relationships with stakeholders such as suppliers, Design Organisations, and platform Delivery Teams.
What you will be assessed against
To be successful with your application you must demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:
• Level 4 (or higher) qualification in an engineering subject, or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience with aircraft (defence or civilian) OR Weapons experience (Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives)
It would benefit your application if you be able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:
• Armament experience
